A Warm Market Can Stop Your Business Cold

Whenever a person joins a multilevel marketing plan, their first impulse is to concentrate their recruiting efforts on what is called their warm market. That is the people they are most comfortable trying to recruit into their new business. Typically, it involves relatives and friends as the person wants to share the excitement and the promise of remarkable income with those closest to them.
The problem with this plan is that once all of their brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles join in the program with them, they are all trying to sell the same service or product to the same group of neighbors and friends. Typically, once sales dry up, if they ever really got started, the first person will quit and join another mlm network marketing plan, and are told to begin recruiting their warm market.
Since it will be the same as their first group, many will shy away thinking this person is nuts if they think they are going to invest in another of the hair brain schemes. When entering a new venture it is often better to approach your warm market looking for investors from whom to gather start up funds.
Since they are usually relatives and close friends, they will know your work as well as your financial responsibility. They will not ask to see a 50-page business plan and usually will not ask to see your last year tax return to see if you can actually make money.
However, you should never take cash from someone in your warm market who cannot afford to lose it if the business fails. These are the same group of people that will be buying your Christmas presents and you will have to face on holidays and at family reunions. Make sure they understand that if the business fails they will see none of their money ever again.
