It happens all too often. Enthusiastically, you round up the names of people you think may be interested in your business opportunity. You agree with your sponsor to start working down the list to make your pitch. So you pick up the phone and call the first person on the list. All you get is “No thanks,” and they hang up. There’s 100 more names on the list, so onto the next person. They scoff, “You’re wasting your time and mine, buddy, get a real job.” Not what you expected, maybe the next person will give you a break. Again, they don’t want to hear what you have to say, so you give up and begin telling yourself that this is not for you.
The first thing you have to realize is that not everyone sees the great opportunity you’re offering through your eyes. It’s unlikely they’ll share the same enthusiasm as you have and they don’t see how powerful the opportunity is.
