We have all seen the type of ridiculous, over-hyped claims - “Join Our Program Today and Our Automatic System Will Make You Movie-Star Rich by Next Week” blah, blah, blah - Rubbish!! Believe me, if anybody really had an Automatic System that would instantly create wealth, they wouldn’t be telling you or me about it but would just quietly turn their system on and head out for vacation while the money piled up in their bank account. Neither myself, nor does anybody else have an automatic money machine - they don’t exist! So, are there any real programs out there that a person can make good money with?

The answer is absolutely YES but you must use your head and ask some intelligent questions before you jump into anybody’s opportunity and not let yourself get all excited about the pretty pictures of fancy cars, huge houses and stacks of cash. It’s true, some of us do make a lot of money on the net because we know what to do and how to do it but thousands more are clueless and not making a dime.

You need to investigate and ask questions Like:

1) Does the program offer real value in its product? Is it something a person might want to own and could benefit from even if they were not interested in selling or promoting the online opportunity? (Who would ever buy all of those bottles of Magic Potion juice?)

2) Is the program affordable for the “average person”? This is very important as some of the programs out there have gone absolutely crazy with entry costs of $1500 - $3500. Insane! It might look impressive at first glance to read that “you will make $2000 on every person you sign-up” but the truth is that you’ll probably never sign up very many people. The potential market is just too smal. Most people that are looking for a way to make money online from home are doing so because they want or need more money — not because they have a huge pile of money to spend.

3) How does the payplan or compensation plan work? Is it designed to create maximum cash flow for you right now while still creating an ongoing passive income that could continue to pay you for years even if you retired from active promotion? This may sound like a “duh” but most pay plans fail horribly in this category.

4) Get the facts about training, mentoring, assistance or whatever you want to call it. It comes down to one four letter word…..HELP. Unless you are already an experienced online marketer, this is the most important question you need to really get clear on. The bare truth is that a good online marketer can make money with almost any program but if you don’t know how to market then you’ll probably not do very well regardless of how great the program is - unless you have someone to show you how — to HELP you with your marketing.

This very important question has a couple of sub-issues: How much does your sponsor know and how available is the information? The best combination is finding a sponsor that has a lot of experience and can easily be reached by email or phone when you need some guidance or help. Even better if that sponsor has set-up a Team page where his personal training strategies and materials are available to you whenever you need some extra tools or information.

I suggest you try calling any potential sponsor a few times with some questions like the ones here. If you usually get right through to the person and get your questions answered — Good Sign. However, if you usually get voicemail and find it’s days to never before you hear back from them — Bad Sign. After you have signed up, paid your money and joined a program is not when you want to find out that your sponsor is almost never available to help you because he’s too busy working on other deals.

I realize that most of this may be common sense, however, most of you are new to the internet marketing industry and need someone you can trust, learn from and eventually be able to teach someone else what you are learning. Although nobody can guarantee your success, by following these guidelines you will ensure that you have done your due diligence and have a much better chance to succeed in this very competitive environment.
