Who Really Is Your Target Market And What Should You Be Offering Them?

Does the fact that 2.5 percent of network marketers succeed and 97.5 percent don’t scare you? Or should you see it as an opportunity?

Of those that get involved in network marketing, almost 40 times as many individuals fail than succeed. For most people, this would scare them away from the mlm industry. However, for the smart ones, we see this as a major opportunity.

All network marketing companies are still teaching the same old techniques of recruiting to their new distributors. These outdated techniques include approaching your warm market family and friends, talking to people in the grocery, bank, or in the parking lot, buying leads and make cold calls, and have house parties. These techniques do work for a few people, but just not for you and not for the 97.5 percent of network marketers that fail at this business. And if you think that you might just be one that succeeds using these methods, you better think again.

Technology has completely changed the network marketing industry just as it has all other industries. We can now recruit targeted leads all over the world. We don’t have to stock inventory, worry about collecting money or paying out commissions. Our network marketing corporate office does all this. And taking this one step further, there are billions of individuals online, and more than 11,000 home based businesses are started in the United States each day. What does this tell you? It tells you that the internet is where you should be doing your marketing, advertising, and recruiting.

It is a no-brainer that you should be using the internet for your recruiting. But you should also be using this as an opportunity. What do I mean? I mean that after you master the tools and skills yourself, you should teach others these skills, and charge them for it. Huh? How? What do you mean? I mean use the numbers that are in your favor. Sell the tools.

You should sell the tools to help the 97.5 percent succeed. Teach them the skills, and make it a business. You actually might end up making as much or more selling the tools as you will in your main network marketing business. Also the 97.5 percent that are failing are not loyal to their current network marketing company. They are upset and mad. Why? Because they were promised more money, more time, and leveraged income and they have experienced none of this. The actual experiences have been bothering family and friends, and individuals in the grocery store and spending money on useless leads.

Because the 97.5 percent of network marketers are not loyal to their current mlm company, this gives you an opportunity to recruit them in your main mlm company. “If you build it, they will come” is a famous saying from the movie Field of Dreams. However, it also applies to your network marketing company. If you show yourself as a leader and teach proper recruiting skills to others, they will follow.

So don’t see the 97.5 percent failure rate in the network marketing industry as a negative. Rather, see it as an opportunity to sell desperately needed tools to this market and turn it into a business.
